“The intercept is the best we’ve hit on the property to date.” explained Enexco’s Director and COO Bill Willoughby. “However, we can’t call this a discovery hole yet. This is a new location and there are follow up holes being drilled.”
Mann Lake is 30% owned by Enexco. It is in close proximity to producing uranium mines including the McArthur River Mine – which Willoughby describes as the world’s best uranium mine with grades running at 16% U3O8. “They only mine about 500 tonnes per day and that is enough for them produce 13% of the world’s uranium supply.” As well the Cigar Lake Mine holds a massive deposit and the Millennium and Wheeler River (Phoenix) deposits are nearby.
